Prices & Options

The ethos of SurfariScotland is to keep our trips flexible, not only to fit in with the surf forecasts when the time comes, but to offer customised trips which fit around the working lives of our customers. If the options below do not suit the availability of your group, please get in touch to discuss an alternative.

Prices below are per person for a group of 5 or 6 booking together Please contact for individual or smaller group bookings.

Prices are for hire of all necessary equipment and professional instruction - according to tide, weather and energy levels - for the duration of the trip.

  • "Classic" Weekend Trip: £125 p.p.

This is the format around which SurfariScotland was founded: Finish work on Friday, head to the waves – LEARN TO SURF IN A WEEKEND – and safely back to work on Monday with a giant smile on your face. See TYPICAL ITENERARY for more details.

  • (As above, weekdays only) : £95 p.p.
  • Long Weekend (additional Monday or Friday) £145 p.p.
  • XL weekend (Isle of Lewis etc. Friday - Monday) £185 p.p.
  • 9 days South West France (P.O.A)

Shorter, cheaper trips (still including transport) can be arranged for East Lothian etc. but bear in mind that the reason SurfariScotland was founded was to travel beyond of the unreliability of local conditions. Your group needs to be flexible to take advantage of the East coast's short notice swells. You can book in advance, but will not have the guarantee of waves which the above options offer. It is possible to join a waiting list for when conditions come together. If you are restricted to day trips, the best plan is to join our waiting list for when conditions come together. We will give you a call when the swell hits and see if you can make it...

  • Full Day Weekday (East Coast) £40 p.p.
  • Full Day Weekend (East Coast) £50 p.p.

If your group is smaller than 5, or if you are an individual wishing to join a group, please contact for details & advice. Prices are slightly cheaper for larger groups since this avoids the complications involved in finding dates which suit split groups & individuals. It is fairly straightforward to join people up with other small groups / individuals. We realise it's not always possible to persuade your mates that surfing in Scotland is a good plan!

Transport, Accommodation (see below) and Food (of a basic sort) are provided free of charge. SurfariScotland offers an authentic surf trip in a relatively luxurious VW van (twice the size of traditional surf buses). Our van sleeps up to four people and a tent is provided when extra berths are needed.

Depending on location, we may be next to a shower block with hot showers, a bar and toilet facilities. This is usually the case. Other times we are in the middle of nowhere, totally reliant on the luxury of the SurfariScotland bus. Priority is given to finding the best waves, rather than seekeing out creature comforts.

These standards may not be to everyone's taste, and it is possible to arrange B&B or Hotel accommodation for those who would prefer it. We have plenty of contacts in our preferred destinations and it may be possible to arrange discount rates. As before, please contact as far in advance as possible.

Similarly, food will be provided, but your instructor will be physically and mentally unable to create a gourmet feast at the end of the day. Cooking facilities are there for those who wish to help out. You will be extremely hungry after surfing and the emphasis will be on quantity and speed. Please state dietary needs in advance.
